James Atchley is an Arizona native and is currently in law school at Brigham Young University. He intends to practice law in the field of estate planning, so he can provide wealth management and estate planning services under the same roof.
James studied mechanical engineering for his undergraduate degree and worked as an aerospace engineer for two years on the General Atomics Predator Drone. He then spent a few years in the technology space as a Product Manager, but his true passion has always been financial education. He often found himself helping his family members and friends with their taxes, getting out of debt, building credit, and setting up IRAs. In 2024 he decided to make it official, got licensed as a financial advisor with his Series 65, and started on the path to law school to provide estate planning services.
James enjoys working with young professionals, helping them open their first retirement accounts and illustrating the power of getting started while you're young. He believes the most critical element of building wealth is time, and the younger you get started, the more time you have for your money to grow. He is fond of saying "I can make anyone a millionaire; all I need is to get them started early enough." He has an adamant "no minimum" policy with his clients, because he believes nobody should be withheld quality financial services simply because they aren't already wealthy.
"Compound interest is the eighth wonder of the world. He who understands it, earns it; he who doesn't, pays it."
